About the inaugural programme in 2015
We established a new Publishing Fellowship Programme in 2015.
For the inaugural programme, eight international publishers were
invited to come to Scotland for a week in August to meet Scottish
publishers and agents - and visit the world-class Edinburgh
International Book Festival (see PDF leaflet).
They were chosen by our steering committee based upon their
standing in the publishing community and their previous interest
and links with the industry here.
The Programme took place from Monday 24 to Sunday 30 August
2015, to coincide with the Edinburgh International Book Festival.
The eight Fellows visited publishing houses and agents, saw market
presentations, attended match-making events and dinners, and many
more networking opportunities in Edinburgh, Glasgow and the
Highlands over the week. There were opportunities to see a bit of
the country and to spend time at the wonderful Edinburgh
International Book Festival and other festivals in Edinburgh.
