Scottish Apprenticeship Challenge 2018

Developing the Young Workforce Edinburgh, Midlothian and East
Lothian is urging local apprentice employers and apprentices to get
involved in the 2018 Scottish Apprenticeship Challenge, to make a
difference in their area.
This challenge running from April to October 2018, supported by
Skills Development Scotland, will see groups of apprentices take on
projects to benefit their local community.
The challenge is open to teams of apprentices or individual
apprentices from any sector - from construction to hospitality and
engineering to ICT and Digital - either from the private or public
Projects can be anything from supporting local schools or
community projects to charity work.
The challenge aims to create community benefits, build community
engagement and raise the profile of apprenticeships at a local and
Projects must be completed by Friday 5th October and will
involve submission of a project report. Participants will be
invited to attend a presentation ceremony in late October where an
overall winner will be announced. Regional winners will then
have the success of their projects showcased at the Scottish
Apprenticeship Awards in 2019.
