Scottish Apprenticeship Challenge 2018

3 May 2018

Developing the Young Workforce Edinburgh, Midlothian and East Lothian is urging local apprentice employers and apprentices to get involved in the 2018 Scottish Apprenticeship Challenge, to make a difference in their area.

This challenge running from April to October 2018, supported by Skills Development Scotland, will see groups of apprentices take on projects to benefit their local community.

The challenge is open to teams of apprentices or individual apprentices from any sector - from construction to hospitality and engineering to ICT and Digital - either from the private or public sector.

Projects can be anything from supporting local schools or community projects to charity work.

The challenge aims to create community benefits, build community engagement and raise the profile of apprenticeships at a local and national level.

Projects must be completed by Friday 5th October and will involve submission of a project report.  Participants will be invited to attend a presentation ceremony in late October where an overall winner will be announced.  Regional winners will then have the success of their projects showcased at the Scottish Apprenticeship Awards in 2019.

Register your interest in the Apprenticeship Challenge before Friday 18th May by filling out the registration form, attached on the right.

A welcome pack with full support information is also attached.
